Lake Washington Stables Facility
Located in central Melbourne, Florida, our equine driving facility has a park-like setting with majestic oak trees and a serene atmosphere where people can drive horses or ponies and nurture their love of carriage driving. For Driving clinics and driving shows we have 20 available stalls and trailer parking. 3 RV hook ups and 25 shaded grassed paddocks. For education seminars we have a 3000 square foot pavilion and an air conditioned 2000 square foot hall with presentation projectors and equipment.
Carriage Driving
Our facility has a driving area around the perimeter of the property. Footing varies from pavement, grassed paths, and natural sand. The 3 acre wooded area is set up as a driving haven set under the trees and open enough for training. Hazards can be set there when required. Our dressage arena is perfect for driving dressage and professional FEI cones are available. Portable hazards may be set up in several large pastures.
Composted Manure
The manure, combined with organic matter such as wood shavings, leaves, and chicken droppings, is turned and kept at a balanced moisture level and heat level. UF tested (available). Florida sun beats down for about nine months and the matter becomes soil, the kids call “Super Poo”. It is not full of weeds! Local Brevard County natural landscapers and plant growers use our compost for their plants already! (Naturewise in Cocoa) How about you?
